When I moved to Brooklyn, I couldn't exactly do any woodworking in my apartment so I decided to start on a project that was more appropriate for life in New York City. Obviously that meant making prison-style tattoo machines.

These machines can ostensibly made with items available in a minimum-security prison, and they're all fully-functional. I had to use my guitar strings for the needles, but that's okay because I suck at guitar.

I named the project after my grandpa. He was a judge.
